Greetings! I'm the K - 1 teacher here at Kenny Lake. My name is Laura Rosen and I'm so happy to be here in my second year. I was born and raised in Renville, MN. I grew up on a farm with three sisters and my parents. We had 2 dogs, a cat, and 2 horses. My passion is obviously horses and I can't wait to bring them up to Alaska. My other passion was (and still is) reading, I enjoy reading any time, any place. I am an avid hockey fan, especially of the U of M Gophers and I play volleyball and basketball. My family is the most important thing to me.

A brief background history:
* 2002 I graduated from Renville County West
* 2005 Graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in
Elementray Educatoin
* 2006 I finished the teaching program and got my masters in 2007
* July 15, 2006 I married Andy Rosen
*August 2006 after a 4 day drive we arrived in Kenny Lake
*October 8, 2006 a "1 in 100 year" flood kicked us out of our house
* May 2007 Andy fell off of a lift and ended up in the hospital

This summer Andy and I enjoyed the wonderfulness of all that Alaska has to offer. We went fishing and hiking and skiing and swimming and many other things. We are so glad we live here!
